If you or someone you know finds it difficult to manage day-to-day living, you may be able to get help under Community Care law. Community Care law is about the Local Authority’s obligations to support people who are disabled, ill, elderly and children in need. This can include providing help with personal care, respite services, accommodation, aids/adaptations and other care needs. It also covers hospital discharge and post discharge care arrangements and continuing health care needs, both at home and in residential accommodation. For Information on how to help yourself please see the Useful Links page.
